First Post

So, it's my first day of the Poached Creative course. From an outsider's perspective, a tardy start for me; I had to ride my horse for the vet, so I didn't get in until about 1pm, but fortunately Jess was very understanding about it (very nice of her, I might add).

Looking back on today, it's been fairly successful. The stubborn pinto git impressed the vet with his healing powers, and is now happily grazing with his friends, after proceeding to find the first puddle of mud he could and roll in it, coating himself from head to hoof, so I will be getting very dusty tonight trying to clean it all off. With that, running my mum's poor car into the ground trying to get to the feed merchant and then back to Wood Green without anyone pointing proverbial missiles at me, I feel rather pleased with myself. I will accept my reward with gratitude: a free ticket to a jazz gig in Watford tonight; lovely!

I look forward to the rest of the course; working with Rokeya and Jess, and sharpening my writing skills in the process. If I'm going to write a novel that someone other than my parents read, it's always a good idea to work on the writing skills. I'm also glad to get the opportunity to learn how to work with websites (doing this, for example), means I can extend my random thoughts to "higher places".
I have never blogged before, so I have no idea if this will even show on the correct page! But where there's a will, there's a way, so hopefully you'll be hearing from me a fair bit in the near future. Just make sure you bring stress balls, eh?
